-----official press release-----
The pre-entry list for the 'Heritage 101' AMRA modified Road Warrior Tour race is growing daily, as 6 states are now represented by open-wheel modified drivers who will vie for the Harley Davidson 'Heritage' Motorcycle presented to the race winner.
The 'American Heritage 101' is a unique event in that the winner is presented with a brand new Harley Davidson 'Heritage' Motorcycle. Additionally, one lucky fan in attendance also will leave the evenings event as proud new Harley owner.
BMC promoter Tom Partin has awarded LM stars Don O'Neal, Mike Balzano and Jackie Boggs (a six time event winner) with Harley's since the races inception.
Scheduled for Saturday, August 4th at Peebles, Ohio's Brushcreek Motorsports Complex, the 'Heritage 101' RWT feature will be the highlight of 2 complete and separate nights of racing at the newly reconfigured 3/10 mile oval.
"The response to this race has been phenomenal" said AMRA president Larry Keefer.
"With the deadline for the discounted pre-entries getting closer, the entry list is really gaining momentum."
Pre-Entries postmarked & received prior to January 31st are $100.00, while pre-Entries postmarked between February 1st - June 15th are 125.00.
Entries received after June 15th or at gate on race weekend will be $150.00
"Our hope is that this will be what the 'Dirt Track World Championship' has become for the Late Models. Judging by the caliber of the pre-entries received so far, this looks to be the case. We have past & current track and AMRA (as well as other) series champions already entered. The Brushcreek Motorsports Complex staff is working hard to make this an event that everyone will want to be a part of" Keefer concluded.
A $23,000.00 H-D Heritage motorcycle awaits the winner, who can opt for $10,000.00 instead. Nearly $18,000.00 is spread from 2nd - 24th finishers in this unique event, pushing the total feature purse to over $40,000.00.
Race information, AMRA car construction rules, event purse and entry forms are available online at the American Motor Racing Association website: 'www.amramodified.com'.
