Brushcreek Motorsports Prepares for '08 Season
(Peebles, Ohio) With the '08 season still a couple months away, Brushcreek Motorsports continues to use the off season to look for ways to provide a more exciting entertaining racing experience for the fans, competitors and sponsors. As part of that, a group of officials from Brushcreek Motorsports recently traveled to Lake Mary Florida to participate in the 35th annual RPM Promoters Workshop Series. The 19 session workshop discussed in depth, the day-to-day issues promoters face, breadth of weekly race track operation, emphasizing practical ideas adaptable to any short track. The workshop also scheduled informal networking time for track operators, their employees, and industry leaders.
As previously announced Brushcreek Motorsports will incorporate one way radio communication between a track official and racers during the 2008 season. Brushcreek Motorsports will use a mandatory system of one-way scanner communication, providing lineups, instruction, and race direction from the race director to the drivers for all weekly classes (Late Models, Modifieds, Legends, Bombers, Chevette/ 4 cylinders & Trophy 4 Cylinders) in 2008 . It is the responsibility of each race team to make sure that scanners are mounted in the car safely and are in good operational order. Scanners must be activated and in use during all events, including preliminary events, and warm-ups. Scanners must be programmed to the dedicated race frequency ONLY. The dedicated race frequency will be announced at the drivers meeting and posted on the pit board. Competitors will be able to buy or rent RACEceiver at the track.
Brushcreek Motorsports will also use AMB transponders in the Late Model, Modified, Legend, and Bomber classes in 2008. Every car in competition in these classes must be equipped with an AMB scoring and timing transponder. Competitors will be able to buy or rent AMB transponders from the track.
