The Late Model feature was the best 25 lap feature race I have ever saw!!! There was probably 3 lead changes on the last lap alone. Christy only led one lap, and that was the last one, as he barely beat Carrier. It was one of the most celebrated victory lanes I have saw in a while, there was nothing like getting to be in victory lane this evening. Great job to Kenny, Jamie, and everybody at Team Christy Racing!!! It was an extraordinary race, probably the best race in the history of Rocky Top. Thanks to all the fans and drivers who came out. Track was fast and in awesome shape, you could run high, low, or in the middle. Tonight was what dirt racing is all about. For those that haven't made it out to RTR this season, make sure to head out. There hasn't been a bad race this season.

First I would like to say congrads to Christy, Wireman, and NEWMAN. (Way to go Newman).
But I do have a question concerning the Qualifying Times of the late models. I wrote each of the times down and would love to know how you came up with the line up for the heats. How can a 3rd and 4th place in Qualifying end up in the same heat as did the ones qualifying 1st and 2nd. That just really doesn't make any sence. I do feel there is some favortism there at Rocky Top. I did notice something in the pits this time that I had not notice on previous trips to the track. Actually someone pointed it out to me and I paid attention and sure enough they were correct.
I think all the drivers should be given the same treatment. They all work hard on getting their cars ready and getting to the track. Making a show for everyone.
One other thing while I am complaining. Why is there reserved parking for some fans and also drivers when there isn't for others. I noticed a driver had a reserved parking spot for his hauler. LOL I like the driver too. But I don't think he should be given special treatment. If he wants that spot then he needs to get there early enough to get it. True? Then there are 2 spots on the hill that are supposely reserved for "season passes". If this is so, then mark the spot with RED TAPE where no one can pull in it. Why wait until a man has parked and then tell him to move it. That is so wrong. Wanta know something funny, these 2 vechicles that have the reserved parking are Christy fans. LOL Like I said, I like Christy, maybe a fan of his myself, but I sure don't get the special treatment. Hey, who do I need to talk to about getting a reserved parking spot? I have to come early and sit in the hot sun to get my spot.
Congrads again to the Christy, Wireman, and NEWMAN crews. But to all the others, you did a very good job also.
JUST MY OPINION..................have a great day race fans.

It shows that #11 Steele finished 2nd in the bomber feature. The second place car was #11 driven by Brian Banks from Tollesboro, KY. This was his first time driving at Rocky Top in his second season.

To start out the race we had a 17 flag run. Christy, slowly but surely, was starting to catch Carrier in that run. When they bunched them back together, Christy and Carrier battled side by side for the lead, all the way to the checkered. It was a great race.

The reason I have been told about holding the spot for the hauler. is that his brother is handicap and is in a wheel chair so he don't have to go through t he pits, that would be dangerous, if you notice when the hauler pulls in so does the the handicap van. On the reserved parking I agree it should be marked, but I know some season ticket buyers paid extra to get reserved parking also. I know about the heat I usually get there at 4:00 to get my spot.

I would first like to send an apology to Kenny Christy and the crew of the c7. I was unaware that you had a handicapped person with your team. Please accept my apology.
I hope the rain goes away so we can all go racing tonight. As the season nears the end, we need to get in as much racing as we can.
