Me and Kyle's Trip to the BOGUS RAINOUT AT THE TAZ

My 4m buddy, Kyle, and I left Gallipolis at high noon and headed for the NARA Tazwell race!! We drove 5 hours and a half and get there at 5:30 and we had passed cars leaving on our way there!!We went anyway to see the tracka nd see what the Heck was up!! The Infield was dusty and there were guys walking in the infield bringing up a dust storm LOL!!Kyle has pics of the dry infield and of the Very High Banked awesome looking track!!The guy at the front gaet told us that there were storms all around ,so they cancelled "BECAUSE OF THREATENING WEATHER" LOL!! But it was sunshiny and not a cloud in site!! We then headed North and Called Willard and 201 and they had cancelled!! We then called Richmond and they said call back in a little bit!! So we kept going towards Richmond and 10 minutes later they cancelled!! We stopped and got gas and the radar showed everything past Tazwell or North of it,so we got kind of madder!!We called Lake Cumberland and they were still running!! We kind of got lost in the Somerset area but found the track at about 7:45 and get this they had cars and other vehicles on the track actually trying to run the track to get the show in for the fans!! They told all the cars to get out there and they had about 14 Late Models and had the track ran in and were just about ready to go racing and the skies opened up!! We left and Im not sure if they cancelled but we said the heck with it and headed home!! We stopped at a rest area on I-64 and they had radar there and it still showed nothing had passed thru Tazwell yet but was in Middle Tennessee heading that way and this was at about 11pm!! I heard Atomic cancelled becasue of rain at 11pm so I would say the Taz had til 11:30 or maybe longer to get the show in and they blew it!! A cop in the parking lot at the Taz told us that he thought the promotors were scared becasue of very little fans and there were only around 10 late Models there!! It was the worst attempt ever by a track to run a race!! The Taz looked AWESOME,but the officials blew it!! We got hom at about 1:30 am and I spent $44 of my 50/50 money on gas ,but I did get to eat at 2 of my favorite places as we ate at Sonic and the Waffle House!! But still a very aggravating day!!!
