I agree!!!! I have never saw a non-wing sprint car before. I'm sure that USAC would schedule an event there. In my opinion, K-C is becoming a popular track national wise. I know USAC has an Ohio Speedweek's so maybe they would schedule a race witht them then.

I think that Jimmy Nier would definately bring them in there if he felt there would be good fan support. So if any of you other folks would like to see them there let's get the word out.

Neir is one of the best promoters in the business. Non-Wingers would be nice at K-C, but I think that PRP would probably be a better track for the Non-Wingers to race.

I am afraid you fellas have missed the days of USAC at both places. At KC a serious accident is probably what ended the annual event;PRP had both midgets and sprints, no real crowds, therefore losing $$. Now PRP does not even have a winged show this year.

I went to the USAC midget shows at PRP, no the crowds weren't very good at all and neither were the car counts. Maybe they just weren't paying enough out to get those Indiana boys to make the tow over here. I don't know. However, what was the full story on the bad USAC sprinter wreck at KC. That one seems to escape my memory. Thanks.

Okay, the most I can tell is that one of the locals went off Turn 3 during hot laps, went to the fence, got hurt bad enough that they called for a lifeflight helo to come. Helo got there after dark, landed inside fence by Turn 3 and took the driver to Columbus. The driver was a local school principal or asst. principal and I think that was his last drive with or without a wing.
PRP USAC sprint shows were okay but the midgets had real small car counts. I wish KC and PRP could have both again but I doubt it will ever happen.
