Lucas Oil Late Model Series
Fast Qualifier-Donnie Moran
Heat One-Rod Conley, R. J. Conley, Donnie Moran, Eric Meyers
Heat Two-Steve Shaver, Bart Hartman, Keith Berner, Eddie Carrier Jr.
Heat Three-Freddy Smith, Earl Pearson Jr., Don O'Neal, Delmas Conley
B-Main-Rick Aukland, Chad Smith, Skip Watterman, John Mason (Note: Matt Miller led every lap until he broke on the last lap)
A-Main-Donnie Moran, Steve Shaver, Bart Hartman, Earl Pearson Jr., Freddy Smith, Matt Miller
Lead Changes-1
Car Count: Around 35
(Notes: Great racing tonight at K-C. The Lucas Oil Series and K-C Raceway did a great job putting on a great show. The Lucas Oil Series format is perfect. The heat races were very entertaining with a lot of side by side and three wide racing. Those were some of the better heats I have saw. The A-Main was a good one. They went the first 36 laps under the green flag. Shaver led most of the race until Moran got by him with a little less than 10 to go. Matt Miller did a great job coming up to finish sixth after starting 23rd. Track was black but there was plenty of side by side racing with an exciting finish).
410 Sprints, $4,000 to win
Dash-Todd Kane, Nick Naber, Greg Wilson, Keith Baxter
Heat One-Dean Jacobs, Ed Neumister, #75, Dave Dickson
Heat Two-Adam Strausser, Jimmy Stinson, #5, Masburger (I think)
A-Main-Greg Wilson, Todd Kane, Dean Jacobs
Lead Changes-1
Car Count-22
(Notes: Sprint racing was good. Kind of expected more cars to show for 4k to win but 22 still isn't bad and the field was top notch. The dash was entertaining and the heats were good. A-Main was a great race between Wilson and Kane. Wilson took the lead around lap five and went on to win but Kane stayed pretty close behind him. A lot of side by side racing in the A-Main especially in the top five. The #55 of Cheeseman (I think) did flip in hot laps. That was really the only incident of the night).
Hobby Stocks
Heat One-#17, #36, #34
Heat Two-#52, Jamie Adams, Joe Williams
A-Main-Joe Williams, #9, #17
Car Count-12
(Notes: The Hobby Stocks put on a great show. There was a three car battle for the lead all night long in the feature. On lap 17, Jamie Adams and #52 were taken out in a crash with a lapped car while running second and third. #52 did continue though and I think came back to get a top five).
