We would first like to thank all the fans and drivers for their patience as the crew and others worked on the water trucks so we could lay down water on what was a very dry turn two. A Special Thanks goes out to modified driver JP Roberts and the countless others who helped fix the water trucks, as well as the drivers who helped run in the track after the fact.
In the modified feature JP Roberts and Mark Frazier would bring the field to the line after posting heat race victories. Roberts would jump to the lead in turn one with Frazier in tow. Each lap Frazier would take a peak underneath Roberts in an attempt to secure the number one position, as the duo would put on a show for the fans until lap 14 when Frazier would pull off the track. As the battle for the lead took place, the number 63 of Rodney Keefer would pick off car after car, lap after lap in an amazing showcase of passing ability, coming from his 14th starting position to finish the time shortened event in 2nd. On lap 17, the white flag was thrown as the time limit had been exceeded; as the checkered flag flew it was once again JP Roberts with the victory. Rounding out the top five behind Roberts was Keefer, Adam Jordan, Darrick Hubbard and Bo Cox.
In the Street Stock feature John Powell Jr. and Jamey Adams would lead the field to the line in what would be a caution filled event. The first caution came on the very first lap when New Paris, Ohio resident Rob Scarrette would go head on to the turn three guardrail. After a brief red flag the action would resume. Jamey Adams would once again jump out to the lead as John Powell Jr. would pressure Adams for the lead. After motor problems prevented him from racing last week, Bruce Gray Jr. would put up a good effort as he would come from his 9th starting position to finish 4th. On the restart of lap 9 the time limit had already been exceeded and the race would go green, white, checker but as the leaders would take the white flag a spin out would cause the races final caution. The race would end under the caution flag and would see Jamey Adams picking up his first feature win of the season, following Adams was Powell Jr., Tommy Mossbarger, Gray Jr., Jayme Dailey.
In the Pure Stock feature, Steve Noble in the Larry Brisker owned #55 would dominate the event, but the race behind him was a sight to see. After Keith Dubois would start outside second row he would immediately make his presence felt, as he would pressure Andrew Willis in the 2nd position. By lap 4 Dubois would make the pass for 2nd and would begin to make his charge toward the leader. But on lap 8 Dubois would have mechanical failure and quickly went backwards however finishing the race with only three tires. At the line it was Noble, Willis, Wes Smith, Derrick Smith and Matt Neal.
In the 4Cyl Stock feature, Mike Strickland would come from his fourth starting position to take the win, passing for third on lap 5, second on lap 8 and first on lap 11. The 4Cyl Stock feature was the only feature of the night that would complete all of the scheduled laps within the time frame permitted. Behind Strickland was John Burchette, Brandon Potter and JR Collier.
