Doss wins Late Model Thriller at Brushcreek Motosports Complex
(Peebles, Ohio) Mother Nature hit the Peebles Ohio area with early an evening shower on June 21, temporarily halting action at the 1/3 mile speed plant. Once the shower past, the track crew went to work preparing the track for the rest of the evenings action. Thanks to the help of several drivers who help run the track back in the rain delay was short lived. With a tacky and fast track, action heated up on the high banks. Sardina, Ohio's Barry Doss took the late model feature win in his first visit to Brushcreek Motorsports this season. While Sardina Ohio's Weasel Rhoads picked up the modified feature win. Peebles Ohio's Tom Partin took the legend feature win. Aaron Chesser picked up his first feature win at Brushcreek Motorsports taking the bomber feature win. West Union, Ohio's Josh Francis took his second straight Chevette/4 cylinder win and Peebles, Ohio's Matt Nichols took another trophy 4 cylinder win.

As Doss, Jamison and Kirker ran nose to tail over the first three laps Edmisten applied pressure to Shannon for the fourth spot, finally sliding by on lap three. Upfront Jamison began to pressure Doss for the lead as the duo began to slightly pull away from Kirker over the next seven laps. As the front runners began to reach lapped traffic on lap ten Jamison pulled along side front runner Doss, while Edmisten slid by Kirker for the third spot. Action was slowed for the first time with a lap twelve caution for Shawn Martin. On the restart, Doss shot into turn one with Jamison, Edmisten and Kirker in tow. Over the next five laps Jamison pressured Doss for the lead while Edmisten followed closely behind. Jamison made his move on lap eighteen pulling along side Doss on the back stretch. As the front runners were side by side they made contact. Jamison emerged with the lead when Doss lost some momentum. With Jamison now in front of Doss the caution waved for Mark Morrison, who looped his mount in turn four. While under caution Jamison had to retire to the pits with a flat tire, leaving Doss and Edmisten with a green white checkered shoot out. On the restart, Doss emerged from turn one with a car length lead over Edmisten. Edmisten would pull up to the rear deck lid of Doss down the back stretch before falling back a couple car lengths coming through turn four. Doss held on over the final lap to take the feature win.
