AMRA president Bill Hayes has confirmed that the title sponsor for the AMRA Rookie of the Year for the 2004 season will once again be 'W.S. Hogg insurance' of Mt. Vernon, Ohio. "Steve Hogg has been the title sponsor for the R.O.Y. award since it's inception. He enjoys seeing new talent come into the sport, and believes those who excell should be rewarded. Through his continued support, the AMRA will award $400.00 to this seasons R.O.Y., as well as $150.00 to the R.O.Y. runner-up." 'W.S. Hogg Insurance' is an independent Insurance agency which offers health, home, life and auto insurance. In addition to the cash award to the 2004 R.O.Y., 'DASCO Fabrication' will once again provide a 9 piece modified body kit for the leading rookie. "Donnie Fleetwood has supported the AMRA R.O.Y. program from it's beginning. His contribution to the AMRA through 'DASCO Fabrication' is greatly appreciated by the racers." Hayes concluded. Racers who wish to be considered for the AMRA Rookie of the Year program must be an AMRA licensed driver, and must have their AMRA R.O.Y. application in the AMRA office by June 1st for eligibility consideration. The AMRA Rookie of the Year will be the eligible driver who finishes highest in the final 2004 International Series points standings. Rookie of the Year rules and application forms can be accessed through the AMRA website @ www.amramodified.com, or you may contact the AMRA office @ (740) 392-0762.
